A little piece of Norfolk
The Old Swan is a flint cottage built in 1770 and used as a public house and coaching house for nearly 200 years.
This four-bedroom house has lots of entertaining space and sits in a quarter
of an acre of beautiful gardens.

We are located in a small lay-by directly off the A148,
very close to the Sharrington Strawberry fields.

We are situated just a few miles outside the Georgian town of Holt, renowned for its boutique shopping, Byfords delicatessen, good restaurants, pubs, art galleries, craft shops and antique showrooms and, of course, historic Gresham's School founded in 1555.
Around a ten minute drive, will take you to the beautiful North Norfolk coast, designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the pretty villages of Blakeney, Cley and Salthouse. This area is popular with walkers, birdwatchers and sailing enthusiasts. Further to the east are the traditional English seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer. To the west, we are less than 10 miles from the popular seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, with its endless sandy beaches and a good selection of shops and cafes.
There are good local pubs in the nearby villages of Letteringsett (Kings Head) and Langham (Bluebell) as well as The Feathers and The Kings Head, in Holt itself. The Dun Cow in Salthouse just outside Holt and The Pigs at Edgefield are slightly further but well worth it.
All serve a selection of locally sourced, good food and are family friendly (Bluebell and The Pigs have children’s play area).

With 6ft Superking bed, shower, WC and wash basin

With triple bunk bed. Bottom bunk 4ft 6” double, top bunk 3ft single bed accessed via step ladder

With 4ft 6” double bed
Bedroom four
With twin junior beds 5ft 5”
Outside:
At the rear there is a large garden, with relaxed seating For 8 people, a small vegetable garden, several fruit trees and children’s play equipment and sand pit. Off road parking for two-three cars is available on the gravel driveway to the side of the property. Further parking is available on the road directly outside the front of the property.

During English school holidays the property is only rented on a weekly basis, where changeover day is a Saturday.
In term time, the property may be rented:
for a weekend -Friday-Sunday,
a midweek break -Monday-Friday,
or a full week-Saturday/Saturday.

Baby equipment is available: Highchair, travel cot, changing mat, stair gate, pushchair (please specify on booking)
We operate a leave as you find system.
Guests are required to clean the property prior to check out
as we do not employ a cleaner, hence we are able to offer a well below market price.
Furthermore, guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers as we do not employ a laundry service. Please see room description for bedding sizes.
If you do not wish to clean the property prior to departure, please contact: Nicole Elvin Cleaning Services, 07375 369 218, nelvincleaningservices@gmail.com inform her of your checkout day and she will do her best to accommodate you. This service costs £120 payable directly to her via cash or bank transfer.
